How Our LED Screen Installation Process Works

Every Dynamo installation follows the same proven process, whether it is a single reception screen or a multi-storey media facade:

1. Site Survey & Feasibility

Our engineers visit your site to assess the mounting structure, access routes, power supply and data connectivity. For outdoor screens we also review sight lines, ambient brightness and any planning considerations.

2. Design & Specification

We specify the right product for the job: DFC Series fine-pitch panels for premium indoor settings, DX Series cabinets for cost-effective fixed installs, and dedicated outdoor LED displays rated for UK weather. You receive scaled drawings, a module-derived resolution specification and a fixed quotation.

3. Structural & Electrical Preparation

Where needed we design and fabricate steelwork, arrange structural calculations, and coordinate electrical supply and containment with your contractors — or provide our own.

4. Installation & Rigging

Our installers work to UK working-at-height and electrical regulations. Most indoor LED video walls are installed in one to three days; large outdoor screens are typically craned and rigged in under a week.

5. Commissioning, Calibration & Training

We commission the processor and receiving cards, calibrate brightness and colour, connect your content management system and train your team on day-to-day operation.

6. Aftercare & Warranty

Every installation includes our 3-Year Return-to-Base warranty as standard, with remote diagnostics and UK-based support. Maintenance contracts and spare-module packages are available for mission-critical screens.

Indoor and Outdoor LED Screen Installations

Indoor: receptions, boardrooms, retail, showrooms, control rooms and studios. Fine pixel pitches (P1.5–P2.5) deliver broadcast-quality images at close viewing distances.

Outdoor: building facades, forecourts, stadiums and high streets. High-brightness, IP-rated cabinets remain readable in direct sunlight and are engineered for wind load and weatherproofing.

How much does LED screen installation cost in the UK?

Installation is typically 10–20% of the total project value, depending on access, height and structural work. A small indoor video wall might add £1,500–£3,000 of installation labour, while a craned outdoor screen with steelwork can add considerably more. How long does an LED screen installation take?

Most indoor video walls are installed and commissioned in one to three days. Outdoor screens usually take three to five days on site once steelwork and power are in place. Lead time from order to installation is typically four to eight weeks, driven by panel manufacture.

Do I need planning permission for an LED screen?

Can you install screens we purchased elsewhere?

Yes. We regularly install, re-install and relocate third-party LED screens, although we can only extend our own warranty terms to products we supply.

Who will actually carry out the installation?

Our own UK-based installation engineers, supported where needed by certified riggers and electricians we work with on every project. We do not sell your installation on to an unknown subcontractor.
