Bespoke LED Displays for Luxury Hotels & Hospitality

Dynamo designs, supplies and installs bespoke LED video walls for luxury hotels, restaurant groups and hospitality venues across the UK and internationally. We work with hotel owners, general managers, interior designers and AV consultants who need LED displays that hold up to close-range guest scrutiny, integrate cleanly into premium architectural interiors, and give operators genuine flexibility over content long after the install team has left site.

From a 24m² lobby feature wall in Caracas to a ceiling-mounted fine-pitch canopy above a Mayfair cocktail bar, our hospitality work is defined by three things: pixel pitches fine enough for close viewing, mounting solutions that respect the architecture, and control systems that front-of-house staff can actually operate.

Hotel Londres, Caracas — 24m² Lobby Feature Wall

Hotel Londres is a luxury property in Caracas with a marble-floored, chandelier-lit lobby that sets the tone for the entire guest experience. The hotel commissioned a lobby feature wall to greet arriving guests with imagery of Venezuela’s landscapes, landmarks and cultural heritage.

We specified, shipped and installed a 24m² fine-pitch LED video wall measuring 8 metres wide by 3 metres high. The finished screen renders content at 4,096 × 1,536 pixels — wider than standard 4K — which matters in a lobby where guests approach the reception desk within 2–3 metres of the display. The COB construction’s resin-sealed surface resists dust, cleaning fluids and minor impacts from housekeeping. Full install was completed in 2.5 days on site without closing the lobby for a single day of trading.

Why LED for Luxury Hotels?

LED has become core infrastructure in premium hospitality — not an add-on. Four reasons consistently drive the decision for hotel owners, general managers and interior designers.

Arrival experience from the first moment —

a full-height LED feature wall creates an arrival moment that static art, printed graphics or murals cannot replicate — the first thing a guest photographs and the last thing they see on departure

Atmosphere in F&B spaces —

bars, restaurants and lounges with integrated LED create environments guests remember, return to, and share — a genuine commercial advantage in competitive markets like Mayfair

One tool for every operational moment —

welcome imagery at check-in, event branding for private dinners, seasonal campaigns through the year — all managed from a single iPad by hotel marketing staff

Architectural integration —

the best hospitality LED installations are noticed as atmosphere, not technology — we work with your interior designer or fit-out contractor so the display sits within the architecture

In plain terms: a premium guest experience is built on atmosphere, and LED is now the most effective tool for creating atmosphere in lobbies, bars, restaurants and lounges — with the flexibility to change with the venue.

Luxury Hotel & Hospitality LED Systems

Technical Specification: What to Expect

The pixel pitch, display size and control system for a hotel LED installation depend on room dimensions, viewing distance and operational use. Here’s what we typically recommend and why.

Pixel Pitch

For hotel lobbies and bar environments viewed from 2–5 metres, we recommend 1.5mm–2.6mm. For VIP and executive lounges with ultra-close viewing, 1.2mm and below. Hotel Londres used P1.9mm COB.

Display Configurations

Modular panels allow flat lobby walls, corner-wrap features, curved canopies and ceiling-mounted displays. Hotel Londres used a flat 24m² lobby wall; the Mandarin Oriental ABar uses a contoured ceiling canopy.

Control Systems

NovaStar processors with cloud-based CMS for most hotel installs — scheduled from an iPad by front-of-house staff. Resolume Arena for F&B live entertainment environments with DJ and AV integration.

AV Integration

We integrate with Crestron, AMX and Extron AV control systems, working alongside your interior designer, fit-out contractor and AV consultant so the display sits within the architecture rather than in front of it.

In plain terms: finer pixel pitch means sharper close-up visuals. For hotel lobbies and bars, 1.5mm–2.6mm is the right balance between realism, cost and performance; 1.2mm and below is reserved for ultra-close viewing.

The Dynamo Process

From first conversation to final handover, we manage every stage of your hotel LED display project. Hotel Londres was installed in 2.5 days on site without closing the lobby for a single day of trading.

Mandarin Oriental Mayfair — ABar Lounge Ceiling LED

The Mandarin Oriental Mayfair is one of London’s most prestigious hotel openings of recent years. At the heart of the property’s food and beverage offer sits the ABar Lounge — a weekend destination drawing guests and members for resident DJ sets and cocktail service in an intimate, low-lit setting.

We designed and installed a bespoke ceiling-mounted LED display using our RA Series fine-pitch panels at 2.6mm pixel pitch. The canopy follows the contours of the bar itself, creating a continuous sweep of light and imagery directly above guests. RA Series was selected for this environment: GOB (Glue-on-Board) protective coating delivers the impact resistance and cleanability a working hospitality ceiling demands. The display is driven by Resolume Arena — a professional media server platform — integrated with the bar’s existing AV and DJ systems, so resident DJs can trigger and synchronise visual content live with the music.

  • Display type: RA Series GOB LED, 2.6mm pixel pitch
  • Configuration: ceiling-mounted, contoured to bar geometry
  • Protective coating: GOB (Glue-on-Board) for impact and cleanability
  • Control: Resolume Arena media server, cloud-based CMS
  • Integration: synchronised with bar AV and DJ systems
  • Location: ABar Lounge, Mandarin Oriental Mayfair

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does an LED video wall cost for a hotel lobby?

Cost depends on display size, pixel pitch, mounting and installation complexity. A 24m² lobby feature wall like Hotel Londres is a significantly different investment from a ceiling-mounted F&B canopy like the Mandarin Oriental ABar. We provide detailed quotations after a site visit and brief.

What pixel pitch is best for a hotel lobby LED display?

For lobby environments viewed from 2–5 metres, we recommend 1.5mm–2.6mm. For bars, restaurants or VIP spaces with closer viewing, 1.2mm or finer. We specify based on room dimensions and viewing distances, not price point.

Can LED displays be ceiling-mounted in a hotel bar or restaurant?

Yes. The Mandarin Oriental ABar Lounge is a working example of a ceiling-mounted LED canopy in a live hospitality environment. Structural loading, cable management and maintenance access are all addressed at specification stage.

How long does installation take and will it disrupt hotel operations?

Hotel Londres (24m²) was completed in 2.5 days without closing the lobby. We schedule work around your operational programme — typically early morning windows or planned refurbishment closures.

Can hotel staff manage the content themselves?

Yes. We specify NovaStar CMS or equivalent content management systems that run on iPad or any web browser. No technical knowledge required. Staff training is included in every installation handover.

Do you work internationally?

Yes. Hotel Londres in Caracas is one example. We manage shipping, local installation coordination and power compliance as part of the project scope.
