Free LED display CMS: Dynamo CMS is included with every screen you buy from Dynamo

Dynamo CMS is a cloud platform delivered under the Dynamo name, on our own domain, with a separate account for each client. For the full technical background, our cloud CMS technical guide runs to 6,000 words. The short version of what you can do from a web browser:

• Upload media. Video, images, text and HTML content go into your media library, up to 5 GB per account.
• Build playlists. Put media in order, set durations and transitions, add audio where you need it.
• Schedule. Assign playlists to screens or screen groups by date range, weekly pattern or time of day. A promotion can start on Monday morning and stop on Sunday night without anyone touching it.
• Publish. The CMS sends instructions to the players bound to your account. Each player downloads the content and plays it locally.
• Update players remotely. Player software upgrades are pushed from the CMS rather than by someone on a ladder with a USB stick.
• Prove it played. Playback logs record what each screen actually showed. You can search the last three months in windows of up to 30 days and export the result, which is enough for a monthly proof-of-play report per campaign.

That last point matters more than it sounds. If you sell advertising on your screens, or head office wants to know the compliance notice really did run in every branch, the log is the evidence.

Estate-wide fault monitoring and alerting is a separate layer. If you need alarms when a screen goes dark rather than a content system, read remote LED display monitoring and ask us what suits the site.

An LED display needs a playback device to feed it. Dynamo CMS runs through a compatible cloud media player, and the player is specified per installation, so it appears in your quotation rather than as a standard item. At commissioning our engineers bind that player to your Dynamo CMS account. Once bound, the player keeps a connection open to the cloud and takes its instructions from there.

Worked example, subscription only, one illustrative year. A ten-branch retailer with one window LED per branch pays about £840 on Yodeck Basic or about £830 on OptiSigns Standard at the annual rates above. For screens bought from Dynamo, that subscription line is zero.

Where the paid platforms win is breadth of apps: Power BI dashboards, Microsoft Teams feeds, Canva integration, social walls. If your screens are boardroom TVs showing a sales dashboard, buy one of those. If your screens are LED displays showing your own video, images and promotions, you do not need to pay for a second system to do what the included one already does.

The clients who get the most from Dynamo CMS have more than one screen, or one screen that changes often:

• Retail and QSR estates pushing a national campaign from head office while each branch keeps a local slot for its own offers. Screen groups and role-based logins exist for exactly this, and 200 players per account covers a sizeable chain.
• Window and shopfront LED where the message changes with the weather, the day of the week or the time of day.
• Corporate lobbies and campuses running welcome content, wayfinding and internal comms across several buildings from one login.
• Advertising and DOOH operators who need a schedule they can sell against and a playback log they can show the advertiser.
• Hotels and venues with a lobby wall, a conference-suite screen and a bar ticker that all need to say something different at 7 pm.

A single LED video wall in a reception is also covered. It just uses less of the system. The offer applies across the Dynamo LED display range, indoor and outdoor, and you can see the kind of estates it runs on in our work.

It applies to screens supplied by Dynamo, including screens we supplied before this page existed. Screens from other suppliers are not offered Dynamo CMS. For LED screen hire jobs, Dynamo CMS is available free on request, so mention it when you book.

Setting up Dynamo CMS is part of commissioning the display:

1. We configure the cabinets and receiving cards, then bind the player to your account.
2. We define the user roles (admin, editor, operator) and test initial content on the screen before handover.
3. At handover we show your team publishing, scheduling and the playback log, and document the operating procedures.
