A media facade LED screen turns a building elevation into a display surface, and specifying one is a different job from specifying a billboard or a lobby video wall. The questions that decide whether the project works are set early: how far away the
If you’ve got an LED module on the bench and no configuration file for it, the NovaStar Smart Settings wizard in NovaLCT is how you build one. The output is an RCFGX file: the receiving-card configuration that tells the card exactly how your module i
An LED display retrofit replaces the receiving cards and controller while keeping the cabinets, modules and power supplies, and it can add years of life to a display whose control system has fallen behind. It is not always the right call. A receiving
An LED screen service contract is an agreement that commits a supplier to defined response and fix times, engineer attendance, held spares and scheduled maintenance for a display. It goes beyond a standard warranty, which repairs faulty parts but set
Direct-view LED screens do not suffer burn-in in the way OLED displays do. The inorganic diodes in an LED video wall cannot degrade chemically, so the LED screen burn-in most people fear does not exist. What LED can develop is a slower, usually rever
Ask what the LED screen viewing angle of a product is and the datasheet gives you a tidy answer: 160°, perhaps 140°. Ask what that number promises and the conversation gets more useful. The quoted figure tells you where brightness has already dropped
LED cabinet sizing is the decision that turns an LED video wall from a sketch into a buildable product. Every LED video wall is a grid of fixed-size cabinets, sometimes quoted as LED panel sizes, so the cabinet format sets the wall dimensions, the as
Transparent LED vs projection glass is usually decided by daylight, viewing distance, tenancy rules and what the glass needs to do when the content is off. They both keep the window open, but the structural, electrical and content planning is complet
The LED signal chain is the path video data takes from the playback source to the individual pixels on an LED video wall, and it decides whether content arrives frame-accurate and colour-correct or arrives late, torn and washed out. When we are calle
If you’re specifying an LED display (often called a video wall), you’ll see MTBF figures on nearly every datasheet: sometimes 10,000 hours, sometimes 100,000. But MTBF figures on LED display datasheets are not lifespan predictions, and treating an MT
Specifiers usually leave the CMS decision until last, and it is often the first thing to cause problems after handover. The LED CMS cloud vs on-prem question rarely comes down to the software itself. It comes down to who updates the content, where th
If you are specifying a bespoke LED display for a permanent installation, the two questions that surface first are always the same: how long will it take, and what will it cost? The honest answer is that bespoke LED lead time depends on decisions mad
