A suspended LED display gives an exhibition stand a second storey of screen without taking a square metre of floor. For the Belize Tourism Board stand at WTM London 2026, built by the stand contractor JJS Stand at ExCeL London, we supplied two displays through our LED screen hire service: a three-sided suspended LED display with two convex corners in DRE Series 1.29 mm, and a portrait LED wall in DIT Pro Series 1.25 mm set into the standโs ply wall. Both were installed over the weekend before the show.
Key takeaways
- A three-sided suspended LED display with two convex corners faces three directions at once and takes no floor space from the stand beneath it.
- The Belize Tourism Board display used 72 Dynamo DRE Series 1.29 mm cabinets plus 12 corner cabinets, flown on flying bars from a motorised truss arranged by the stand builder.
- Each face runs at 3,072 ร 1,152 pixels, from 384 ร 384 pixels per cabinet across an 8 ร 3 array, and the processor maps the three faces and two corners as one canvas.
- A second display, a 2,500 mm ร 3,000 mm DIT Pro Series 1.25 mm portrait LED wall, was set into the standโs ply wall and driven separately.
- The stand builder arranged the motorised truss with the venue and live power at both display positions; Dynamo flew, cabled and commissioned the LED.

Why suspend an LED display over an exhibition stand?
A suspended LED display is an LED screen flown from a truss or rigging point above an exhibition stand rather than stood on the floor. It is read from the aisles and across the hall, and it leaves the standโs floor free for whatever the exhibitor needs it for. On the Belize Tourism Board stand at WTM London 2026 the display had three faces and two convex corners.

Three faces with convex corners take that further. A flat hung display faces one direction; a three-sided one faces three, and the corner cabinets let a single piece of content continue round the turn rather than stopping at an edge. We covered corner content on the three-sided LED wall we built for a BT Sport advert; here the corners are convex, so the display is read from outside the shape. The suspended display is the standโs beacon; the portrait wall is what you look at once you have arrived.
The suspended display: 84 cabinets on a motorised truss
The suspended display is built from 72 DRE Series 1.29 mm cabinets, 496 mm square, arranged 8 wide and 3 high on each of the three faces, with 12 corner cabinets forming the two convex corners between them.
Rigging from the motorised truss
JJS Stand arranged the motorised truss with the venue; our job was to fly the LED from it. The cabinets hang from flying bars on the truss, and the corner cabinets tie the three faces into one shape. Our note on rigged versus ground-stacked hire screens sets out what a venue asks for before any LED is flown, and why the suspension structure is the stand builderโs conversation with the venue rather than ours.

Convex corners
The two corners are what make this one display rather than three. Twelve corner cabinets form the two convex corners, and the processor maps the faces and corners as one canvas, so a single piece of content can run round the shape. The content rule is the one we give for every cornered display: keep logos and faces off the corner line unless the design intends them to wrap.
The portrait wall: 1.25 mm set into the stand
The second display is a portrait LED wall, 2,500 mm wide and 3,000 mm high, at 1.25 mm pixel pitch from our DIT Pro Series, fitted into the clientโs ply wall so the LED sits within the standโs own architecture. Setting LED into the stand rather than standing it in front of a wall is a stand builderโs detail: the display reads as part of the design, and the opening has to be built to the cabinet grid, which is why the stand drawings are the first thing we ask for.

Driving two displays: two processors, two pixel maps
Two displays with different pitches and shapes are better driven as two systems. A NovaStar VX2000 Pro took the content for the suspended display and mapped it across the three faces and the corners as one canvas. A NovaStar VX1000 drove the portrait wall from its own source. Our NovaStar LED processor guide explains how a processorโs capacity is matched to a pixel count.

The pixel map is the part of the job the client never sees. It tells the processor which cabinet is where and how the corner cabinets sit between the faces, so content moves correctly across the shape. Our guide to cabinet sizes, aspect ratios and pitch covers why the cabinet grid is fixed first and the content canvas follows from it.
A repeat client at ExCeL London
JJS Stand first booked us for a stand at ExCeL London in March 2026 and came back for WTM. A repeat booking with a stand contractor means both sides already know what the other needs: the suspension structure and the power at each display position from the contractor, the LED, the pixel maps and the crew from us. The same week we built an LED wall for the Ibiza stand at WTM London 2026 on one dayโs notice.

From the field
I like a suspended display on a travel show stand because it settles the argument between screen and floor space. The Belize Tourism Board stand needed to be seen from more than one direction, and flying a three-sided display answered that without putting anything on the floor. The convex corners meant the footage could run round the shape rather than being cut into three. The portrait wall is the other thing worth saying. Setting LED into the contractorโs own wall is more work at the drawing stage than standing a screen in front of it, but the display belongs to the architecture, and I would rather do it that way on a stand like this every time.
Suspended LED display for an exhibition stand: frequently asked questions
What does the stand builder need to provide for a suspended LED display?
The suspension structure arranged with the venue, live power at each display position, the stand drawings with the display positions marked, and, where LED is set into the stand, a wall opening built to the cabinet grid. On the Belize Tourism Board stand all four were in place, and the install ran over the Saturday and Sunday before the show.
How is a suspended LED display rigged at ExCeL London?
The stand builder arranges the truss or suspension structure with the venue, which controls rigging in its halls. The LED supplier then flies the cabinets from it on flying bars, ties in any corner cabinets and commissions the display. On the Belize Tourism Board stand JJS Stand arranged a motorised truss and Dynamo flew, cabled and commissioned the three-sided display from it.
What size was the suspended LED display on the Belize stand at WTM London 2026?
Each of the three faces measured 3,968 mm wide by 1,488 mm high, built from 8 ร 3 DRE Series 1.29 mm cabinets, 496 mm square, with 12 corner cabinets forming the two convex corners between the faces. Each face runs at 3,072 ร 1,152 pixels, derived from 384 ร 384 pixels per cabinet across the 8 ร 3 array.
Can a suspended LED display have corners?
Yes. Corner cabinets between the faces let a three-sided display be mapped and driven as one surface rather than three. On the Belize Tourism Board stand the two corners were convex, facing outward, which suits a display meant to be read from around the stand. The processor maps the faces and corners as a single canvas, so one piece of content can run round the shape.
How are two LED displays with different pitches driven on one stand?
As two systems. On the Belize Tourism Board stand a NovaStar VX2000 Pro drove the three-sided suspended display with a pixel map covering the faces and corners, and a NovaStar VX1000 drove the 1.25 mm portrait wall from its own source. Separate processors keep each displayโs pixel map and content canvas simple, and a fault on one does not affect the other.
Planning a suspended LED display for your next exhibition stand
A suspended LED display with convex corners gives an exhibition stand a screen that is read from more than one direction and takes no floor from the stand beneath it, and a portrait LED wall set into the stand gives visitors something to stand in front of once they arrive. The Belize Tourism Board stand at WTM London 2026 used both, rigged from a motorised truss arranged by the stand builder with the venue and driven as two mapped systems. You can see more of our exhibition stand LED hire work. If you are planning a suspended LED display or an LED wall set into a stand, send the stand drawings, the rigging arrangement, the power positions and the show dates through our contact page or call +44 (0)203 489 9878, and we will come back with a written LED screen hire proposal.
