Short Notice LED Wall Hire: One Day from Go-Ahead to Install for the Ibiza Stand at WTM London 2026

Short notice LED wall hire only works when the cabinets are already on the shelf and the crew can be moved. The Ibiza stand at WTM London 2026 at ExCeL London is a clean example: the go-ahead came through on Saturday 31 October, we installed a 24-cabinet Dynamo DRE Series 1.29 mm LED wall on Sunday 1 November, and it ran for the Ibiza Turismo stand from the showโ€™s opening on Tuesday 3 November. We supplied the wall through our LED screen hire service for Parafina Comunicaciรณn, the agency behind the stand.

Key takeaways

  • The Ibiza standโ€™s LED wall was confirmed on Saturday 31 October 2026 and installed on Sunday 1 November, one day later, for a show that opened on Tuesday 3 November.
  • The wall is 24 Dynamo DRE Series cabinets at 1.29 mm pixel pitch in a 6 ร— 4 array, about 5.9 square metres.
  • Resolution is 2,304 ร— 1,536 pixels, from 384 ร— 384 pixels per cabinet across the 6 ร— 4 array.
  • The wall was mounted behind the stand opening on the clientโ€™s own uprights and driven by a NovaStar all-in-one processor, with a small audio package alongside.
  • Short notice LED wall hire works because the cabinets are rental stock already in the warehouse and a crew can be re-rostered for the install day.
  • Send the stand drawing, the opening size and the show dates with the first message, and place the power order with the venue early.

How a one-day turnaround works

A one-day turnaround on an exhibition LED wall is a stock and people problem, not a technology problem. The cabinets, processor, cabling and power distribution all have to exist, tested and cased, before the phone rings. On Saturday 31 October they did, because the DRE Series 1.29 mm cabinets on this wall are part of our rental fleet rather than something ordered in for the job.

Sunday 1 November: the wall is up and lit one day after the go-ahead, with the stand build still finishing around it.

The second half is the crew. A Sunday install at ExCeL needs engineers who can be moved at a dayโ€™s notice, and at any venue of this type it also needs vehicle passes and crew accreditation, and a stand that is ready to take the screen. Omar led the install with Wes and the two Bens, the same team structure we run on planned jobs. Our guide to how LED wall hire is quoted explains what a hire covers.

The exhibition stand LED wall: 24 cabinets behind the stand opening

Twenty-four DRE Series 1.29 mm rental cabinets, six wide and four high, give an active surface of 2,976 mm ร— 1,984 mm. The wall was mounted on the clientโ€™s own uprights behind the opening in the stand wall, so from the aisle the LED wall reads as a window cut into the stand rather than a screen stood in front of it.

Resolution and viewing distance

Resolution is set by the cabinet count: each 496 mm cabinet carries 384 ร— 384 pixels, so the 6 ร— 4 array gives 2,304 ร— 1,536 pixels. That is ample for stand content viewed from a few metres away on the stand and from the aisle beyond it, and at that range 1.29 mm is the pitch we would specify at any notice. Our LED wall hire versus printed backdrop comparison covers why an opening like this is better served by an LED wall than by print.

Processing, audio and power

A NovaStar all-in-one processor drove the wall from the clientโ€™s content, and a small audio package of two speakers, a mixer and radio microphones was supplied alongside it. Power came from the clientโ€™s 32 A single-phase supply through Dynamoโ€™s own distribution; the wall peaks a little over 3 kW, with audio and control adding under a kilowatt. Our guide to power requirements for hire screens sets out how to order the right supply from the venue.

What short notice does and does not change

Short notice changes the sequence, not the standard. The wall was installed on the Sunday and de-rigged on the Thursday evening after the show closed, the same way as any planned hire. What the one-day window removes is slack: the wall size, the mounting and the content canvas are all confirmed with the client on the day the booking lands.

The one thing short notice depends on completely is stock. A hire company that has to order cabinets in cannot do this. We hold the DRE Series 1.29 mm fleet so that a stand at ExCeL can have an LED wall at a dayโ€™s notice, as this one did, rather than waiting weeks for cabinets to be ordered in. We also built the hanging LED banner for the Biotech stand at ESCRS 2026 at ExCeL in September.

From the field

I said yes to this one on the Saturday because I knew exactly what was on the shelf and who could be at ExCeL on the Sunday morning. That is the whole trick. A stand builder a few days from opening needs a screen in the opening before the doors open, and that is the job. What I would ask of anyone in that position is to send the stand drawing and the opening size with the first message, and to have the power order with the venue already in. Those two things are what make a Sunday like this one straightforward.

Short notice LED wall hire: frequently asked questions

How quickly can an LED wall be hired for an exhibition stand?

A wall of this size can be installed the day after the booking is confirmed, provided the cabinets are in stock and a crew is available. The Ibiza standโ€™s 24-cabinet wall was confirmed on a Saturday and built on the Sunday for a show opening on the Tuesday. Venue vehicle passes, crew accreditation and the standโ€™s own readiness are the usual limits, not the LED wall.

What size was the LED wall on the Ibiza stand at WTM London 2026?

The wall measured 2,976 mm wide by 1,984 mm high, built from 24 Dynamo DRE Series 1.29 mm cabinets in a 6 ร— 4 array, about 5.9 square metres. Each cabinet carries 384 ร— 384 pixels, so the wall ran at 2,304 ร— 1,536 pixels. It was mounted behind the stand opening on the clientโ€™s own uprights.

What should I send with a short notice LED wall hire enquiry?

The stand drawing, the size of the opening or wall the LED is going into, the show dates and the venueโ€™s build and de-rig windows. If the power order with the venue is already placed, say so, because the supply at the stand decides how the wall is fed on the day. With those in the first message, a written hire proposal can follow the same day and the install can be booked straight from it.

Can a hire LED wall be mounted on the exhibition standโ€™s own structure?

Yes. On the Ibiza stand the 496 mm DRE Series cabinets were mounted in a 6 ร— 4 array on the clientโ€™s own uprights behind the stand opening, so the stand builderโ€™s structure carried the wall and the LED sat within the standโ€™s design. The opening has to be built to the cabinet grid, which is why the stand drawing and the opening size are the first things we ask for.

What power does a hire LED wall of this size need?

One 32 A single-phase supply fed the Ibiza wall, with Dynamo power distribution between the supply and the cabinets. Peak draw for the 5.9 square metre wall is a little over 3 kW, and the audio and control equipment adds under a kilowatt. The exhibitor or stand builder orders the supply from the venue, so it is worth placing that order before the LED wall is confirmed.

Who installs and supports a hire LED wall during the show?

Our own engineers install, commission and sign off the wall, then return for the de-rig. On the Ibiza stand Omar, Wes and the two Bens built the wall on the Sunday, and it was de-rigged on the Thursday evening after the show closed. Support through the show days is agreed in the hire, so the exhibitor knows what cover is in place.

Planning short notice LED wall hire for an exhibition stand

Short notice LED wall hire comes down to three things: cabinets already in stock, a crew that can be re-rostered, and a stand ready to take the screen. The Ibiza stand at WTM London 2026 had all three, which is why a booking confirmed on the Saturday was live on the Tuesday. Our LED screen hire page sets out the fleet and the hire process, and you can see more of our exhibition builds in our work. If you need an LED wall for a stand at short notice, send the stand drawing, the opening size and the show dates through our contact page or call +44 (0)203 489 9878, and we will come back with a written hire proposal.
