LED Modules
LED video wall modules and individual cabinets are the building blocks of every Dynamo LED screen install. Whether you are scaling an existing video wall, ordering spares for an SLA-backed service contract, or specifying a fresh project, we supply rigid LED modules, flexible LED modules, and full cabinets across the P0.9 fine-pitch through P10 outdoor range. UK warehouse stock for next-day dispatch on most pitches.
Rigid vs flexible LED modules
Rigid LED modules are the standard for flat video wall installations — meeting rooms, control rooms, retail back-walls, broadcast studios. Aluminium die-cast carrier, hot-swap from the front or rear depending on cabinet, magnetic mounting for sub-3-second module changes on most modern panels.
Flexible LED modules are the spec for curved installations — column wraps, immersive concave rooms, double-sided shopfronts, helical staircases, bending ribbons (as deployed for AutoTrader’s snowflake campaigns). The substrate flexes through a defined radius (typically 1,000 mm minimum) while maintaining pixel-perfect mapping.

Ordering modules for service vs scale-up
For service / spares: Tell us the cabinet serial number or original purchase order — we cross-reference back to the exact module SKU and ship from UK stock typically next-business-day. Every install Dynamo has done since 2015 is in our service database.
For scale-up: Adding cabinets to an existing wall is straightforward when the panels are matched-batch. We can supply batch-matched modules to extend an existing install, plus the additional cabinet topology and processing capacity needed. If your existing wall is older than 5 years we will pre-test brightness uniformity against the new modules to avoid visible boundaries.
For new builds: Custom orders are quoted against your CAD layout and viewing-distance requirements — talk to us before specifying the module to make sure pitch, brightness and refresh rate all match the deployment.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between an LED module and an LED cabinet?
A module is the smallest user-replaceable unit (typically 300×168.75 mm or 250×250 mm), containing the LED chips, driver ICs and the receiving-card slot. A cabinet is the aluminium chassis that holds 4 modules (or more), connects to power, signal and the next cabinet, and mounts to the wall. Modules are what you swap for service; cabinets are what you mount.
Can I mix LED modules from different manufacturers in the same wall?
Not recommended — brightness, gamma curve, refresh rate and colour balance differ between manufacturers and even between batches from the same manufacturer. We supply batch-matched modules for extensions and replacements. If you must mix, expect to commission and calibrate via NovaLCT to minimise visible boundaries.
How are LED modules replaced when they fail?
Modern modules use magnetic mounting and front-service or rear-service depending on cabinet design. The faulty module is detached with a service tool in under 3 seconds, the replacement clipped in, and the receiving card auto-syncs to the controller. No screen-off time for most service swaps.
Do you stock LED modules in the UK?
Yes — Dynamo holds UK warehouse stock for the most common pitches (P1.25, P1.56, P1.87, P2.5, P2.9, P3.91, P4.81). Less common pitches ship from manufacturer with 2-4 week lead time. SLA-backed service contracts include guaranteed UK spare-cabinet stock allocation.
What is the warranty on LED modules?
Standard LED module warranty is 2-3 years from purchase, with extension options for SLA service-contract customers. LED chip lifespan is typically rated at 100,000 hours to half-brightness — far longer than the practical replacement cycle of most commercial deployments.
Can flexible LED modules be used outdoors?
Flexible modules are typically rated for indoor use because the substrate flex requires lower IP ratings. For outdoor flexible installations (curved shopfronts, architectural ribbons) we supply IP65-rated semi-flexible cabinets — the cabinet itself flexes through a defined radius while the modules stay rigid.
Need modules for a specific wall? Send us the cabinet SKU, original PO number, or photos with viewing-distance context, and we’ll quote modules and lead time same-day.
